AQUEST CORPORATION provided an aerospace and defense components manufacturer in Massachusetts with various machining mist collectors to improve the air quality in their facility. The largest unit was the MicroAir OM6000 (pictured). This unit provides 6,000 CFM of ventilation airflow to control a very heavy mist producing application. The oil mist laden air flows through the inlet at the bottom of the collector and is directed through four (4) baffle impingers, and then four (4) aluminum mesh mist eliminators. These permanent (i.e. washable) prefilters removed most of the heavy oil, and finally the air passes through four (4) 95% oil mist bag filers. These filters are lined with special media to facilitate oil drainage.
