AQUEST CORPORATION provided a turn-key engineered dust collector solution for the control of graphite dust at an aerospace composites manufacturer in Rhode Island. The cartridge-style dust collector system was designed to pull graphite directly off CNC tool tips and several disk grinders in the facility’s machining shop. The customer invested in the system to improve facility air quality (i.e. protecting workers’ health), and to eliminate damaging charged graphite build-up on sensitive system components (i.e. reduced maintenance downtime). The system returned the cleaned air back into the building through a 99.97% HEPA after-filter. The Aquest team designed, supplied and installed a complete system and associated ductwork.
