AQUEST CORPORATION provided two (2) state-ofthe-art wet dust collectors for a Rhode Island facility, which processes highly explosive metal powders for the 3D printing and additive manufacturing industry. The Filter-1 Hydrotron wet collector was purpose built to fully comply with NFPA 484, and satisfy combustible metal dust collection requirements stipulated by OSHA. The wet-style dust collector filters dustladen air by passing it through a continuously flowing water-wall. The dust particles become entrapped and are quenched by the water. The cleanable mist eliminators separate the water from the airstream and the dusts settles
to the bottom of the sump as inert sludge. The system provides unmatched performance for the most challenging dust applications.
