AQUEST CORPORATION assisted an aerospace components manufacturer in Connecticut in controlling their aluminum (Al) and titanium (Ti) dusts, which have become a target for OSHA enforcement due to their highly combustible nature. Aquest worked with the manufacturer to identify process areas of concern, and to provide wet dust collector solution with a downdraft table and four (4) deburring wheel hoods. The wet collector utilizes a system of baffles and an engineered waterfall to capture, cool and collect combustible dusts. These systems are designed to capture combustible metal dusts and protect workers from the explosive consequences of this type of dust. Aquest offered a complete installation of the system shown.
