AQUEST CORPORATION provided a gas-phase fume control solution to a manufacturer of heat seal film adhesives, coatings and tapes in Massachusetts. The dry-scrubber filtration system was designed to control heated, resinous, volatile plastic fumes off the facility’s extrusion coating lines. The customer invested in the system to improve facility air quality (protecting workers’ health), and to eliminate resinous build-up and equipment staining (reducing equipment downtime). The Aquest team designed, supplied and installed a complete carbon & KMnO4 blended media scrubber system and associated ductwork. The unit was equipped with pre-filters, 840 lbs. of high-capacity dry adsorption media, and a set of high-efficiency JFL-90 final filters.
