AQUEST CORPORATION provided a high-end laser fume extractor system for a major fiber laser manufacturer’s showcase laboratory in California. The BOFA fume extractor is designed to provide three stages of air filtration; a 1st stage deep-pleated prefilter, a 2nd stage high-efficient (i.e. 99.997% @ 0.3 micron) HEPA filter, and a 3rd stage treated activated carbon gas-phase chemical filter. The state-of-the-art laser equipment used in the laboratory dictated the use of an extremely advanced and aesthetically appealing fume control system. The plug and play unit was equipped with stainless steel piping, automatic flow control, independent filter monitoring, VOC gas sensor, and start/stop controls interfaced with the host lasers.
