AQUEST CORPORATION provided an efficient, compact and cost-effective dust collector to a certified processor (shredder) of confidential records and data in Massachusetts. The dust collection system was designed to control paper dust off their shredding operation to prevent it from escaping the process and accumulating on horizontal surfaces; thereby mitigating a significant fire hazard. Aquest supplied and installed a turn-key cartridge dust collector and associated ductwork. The dust collector was equipped with an explosion backdraft damper (yellow device pictured) and deflagration relief venting (silver panel pictured) in compliance with NFPA 654 and OSHA’s combustible dust collection and fire prevention requirements.
