NEW HAMPSHIRE
AQUEST CORPORATION provided a major New Hampshire manufacturing facility four (4) welder training / certification booths equipped with source capture arms and an air filtration system. The HEPA-equipped filtration system was designed to control highly toxic hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] fumes produced when welding stainless steel. The Aquest team designed, supplied and installed a complete booth system with variable frequency drive (VFD) on the motor / blower to automatically and seamlessly ramp the system flow to match the number of stations in-use at any given time. The system is configured to provide worker protection that exceeds OSHA’s most stringent respiratory standard, 2.5 μg/m3 timeweighted average (TWA) for Cr(VI).
